RightHiring AI ("RightHiring", "we", "us") operates the website at righthiring.in (the "Platform"), an AI-powered marketplace that connects job seekers with employers hiring for remote roles. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address, role (job seeker or employer), and a securely hashed password.
  • Job-seeker profile & résumé: the professional details and résumé content you upload — skills, experience, title, location, rate, availability, bio, links (GitHub/LinkedIn/portfolio), and contact email.
  • Employer activity: the search requirements you enter and the profiles you unlock.
  • Usage & device data: IP address, browser/device information, and log data, used for security and analytics.
  • Payment data (future): when paid features are enabled, payments are processed by a third-party provider (e.g. Stripe); we do not store full card details.

2. How we use your data

  • To create and operate your account and provide the Platform.
  • To match job seekers to relevant remote roles and surface profiles to employers.
  • To let employers who unlock a profile view its contact details and résumé.
  • To send service communications (e.g. account and security notices).
  • To secure the Platform, prevent fraud/abuse, and comply with law.
  • To understand and improve the Platform (analytics).

3. AI processing

To match talent, we send the text of an employer's requirement to a third-party AI provider (Google's Gemini API) to extract structured criteria (skills, seniority, budget). We do not send your password. Résumé matching and ranking are performed on our systems.

4. How we share your data

  • With employers: your masked profile (name, title, skills, location, rate) is visible to employers in search results. Your contact details and résumé are revealed only to an employer who unlocks your profile. By uploading a profile you consent to this.
  • Service providers: hosting (Vercel), database (Neon/PostgreSQL), transactional email (Resend), and AI processing (Google Gemini) — each processes data only to provide their service.
  • Legal: where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. You may request deletion at any time (see "Your rights"). We may retain limited records where required for legal or security purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under India's DPDP Act and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email info@righthiring.in.

7. Security

We protect data with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and access controls. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. International transfers

We serve users worldwide; your data may be processed in countries other than your own (including the United States and the EU) by us and our service providers.

9. Cookies

We use a strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in, and — if enabled — privacy- respecting analytics to understand usage. You can control cookies in your browser.

10. Children

The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice.
